Mama Shots {to go} is headed to Cupcake!!


Join us for a fun evening of photography tips & tricks, mamas, cupcakes & bubbly as I teach you how to take gorgeous pictures of your kids. You’ll learn about working with natural light, how to catch a great expression, which colors & clothing work best and what to look for in the perfect background.  Plus, you’ll get to check out all of the newest Cupcake Couture!  Their spring ’11 line is in and it’s irresistable!

Introducing…the little troopers session!


When my son was born, his perfect little feet turned all the way in.  We thought he was just a bit crammed and needed to stretch out (he was 10.5 lbs, after all).  But, when we found out he had a condition that needed extensive treatment, our whole world stopped.  We were fortunate though, Dylan only had club foot.  A diagnosable, treatable condition that shouldn’t affect his later life.

Taking him to all his treatments opened my eyes (and heart) to the little troopers and their families that are made to endure much more than they should.  Every trip to the hospital showed me little faces full of joy…seemingly unaware of the difficulties their little body was dealing with.  And, parents with the tell tale worry lines, sense of complete exhaustion and expression of pride as they watched their child overcoming their challenges.

Somewhere along the way, I decided that these families deserved some free stuff!  I can’t smooth the rough road they’re on but I can give them portraits that celebrate the wonderful life that their child is living!

Little Trooper sessions are completely free and include full resolution digital negatives.  In most cases, families should live within 30 miles of Sebastopol but I can make special arrangements for travel, if needed.  I make myself as available as possible, but can typically only schedule 1-2 sessions per month.

Mama Shots – Spring ’11 is Here!!


I am all set and ready to launch the new Mama Shots series for Spring…YAY!!!   The request for these classes has been overwhelming and I tried to accommodate as many schedules as possible. The Tuesday Night Series starts on April 19th and continues for the next 4 Tuesdays.  Classes are from 7-930ish in Downtown Sebastopol.  You can register for as many as you want but I highly recommend taking the whole series (and with a friend ;) . Being able to come back week after week really lets all that knowledge sink in and gives you time to figure out what you need to ask about in the next class!  Your first class is $69 and each additional is $49.  The whole series is only $199.  To receive your discount on multiple classes, use these coupon codes while registering:

The next Whole Shebang Saturday is going to be April 30th from 10-4 in Downtown Sebastopol!  This is an intense class packed full of information.  Be prepared to learn a lot in a little bit of time.  This is a great class to take with a friend…hopefully, if you don’t remember something, they will ;) .  You also get lunch!!  Early bird registration is only $169 (price good until March 23rd).  Regular registration is $199.

Don’t forget to order your Workshop Workbook.  You’ll get all my presentation slides plus plenty of room for your notes.  Trust me, at only $25 this is a must have!  Contains probably the most valuable piece of paper ever!  Ok, maybe not the most valuable ever but just ask a Mama Shots student if they ever go shooting without the “chart”.
